At first, he yelled with protest
Then forcefully pushed back
Fought with all he had within him
Until he had nothing left.
At 1:15 a.m. they reported his death
Except no foul play could be found
Stunned witnesses who confessed
Said they seen no one else around.
Yet, proclaimed to have seen only the one man
And what they could gather at best
Had the fight of his life
But had the fight within himself. ©
