On the far outskirts of the city of Anna lived there the wise man of the mountains. The people of that city and many afar off took the day’s journey to seek the counsel of the wise man.
It was known well of him that he was but frail from age, and without walk. And have not come unto the city the half-century.
It was so, on a spring day in the swarm of the marketplace did silent fall upon their tongues. For upright before them, was the wise man of the mountains walking with forth, and with pace.
And without warn spoke unto them all saying:
“With falsified eyes, I too have judged.
Perceive also you have judged, and so judge.
Yet aren’t we but opportunists?
thrill-seekers, and as the wind-chasers?
Are not we like the fighter with the lone obsession to win, that he be cheered and glorified; to be esteemed and note-worthy throughout history, and in this shall his legacy be solidified?
I tell you, cheer not concerning these things, for men have not created, but been created. Have not stumbled upon nor discovered, but to which much is given.
Why say ye in your repetition:
“See here, these things I’ve accomplished.”
Or boast public your intellect.
Strut your status in courtyards and pitch your wealth to show its quantity.
Why have you professed this race to be idle?
Proclaim also, the people south lack the well-intellect; and even sayeth the condition poor, is but self-afflictions.
Verily, verily I say, I too have judged.
Perceive also you have judged, and so judge
O you prideful men and women of Anna, like the waters and its gentle ripples, and its powerful waves, the man is built strong, but also fragile. And like the bamboo, the woman is petite and flexible, yet also strong. Both men and women are different and alike; for they trap themselves not knowing their hearts are revealing.
I say unto you people of this city; it shall be written of this day: God have seen the corruption within you in plain view; still, you dispute bitterly to claim your innocents. Even as my voice go unto you presently, he hears your defending hearts.
Are not we birth by the breath of God?
And with the last breathed he receives it back?
And if he’d given unto you his breath which is holy, and pure; shall not he knoweth when a single utterance is of deceit.
O ye people of Anna, I have heard also thou words of endearment concerning my own wisdom unto you. But cheer not for me of thou wisdom; yet repent and give unto God your praises. For he has given unto you counsel through but a servant who now also must repent.
For through my own arrogance, have I been found guilty of arbitrating without commission. For no servant shall pass judgment on God’s behalf without authorization
You come in summation unto me in your full gladness seeking thou privileged wisdom in counsel; yet, because you come unto me with your ongoing sinning and seeking repentance, my heart’s patient faltered and passed condemned judgment unto you. And it was as if my say was final say.
I avow that my charge unto you by God was but as counselor, not judge. In my own growth, let it be known also unto you, and your children today, and their children that cometh this saying:
“The wise man must counsel not with sight, but with the pure heart, for the heart is bonded to the soul and the soul unto God. In this shall the soul always holds the heart accountable.
And also, if any shall yield to counseling with thine eyes, it shall cause them to cast false judgment. For the sight lone reasoning is to seek to pass judgment upon outward beauty, and its pleasures. The inward self consists of the heart and the soul, and God is unto the soul and the soul unto the heart.”
People of Anna, I am now called away from you, but I shall leave with you this knowledge of what is True Wisdom: “It is the truth, and the fairness, and cannot be swayed left nor right. For True Wisdom is always the straightforwardness to a practical solution.”
Lo! people of Anna, as my repentance is unto God, it is also unto you. I shall now give my last forewarning unto you for which I am commission: I beseech you all, repent daily your sins for your yesterday and today, lest your tomorrow be lost. “For unto me was it revealed that day that cometh soon, all were condemned, and all was lost save but the one who is not yet.
The time was 2028 and that day shall be in full mist, and this devastation is your first forewarning to turn back to him.
With falsified eyes, I too have judged, perceive well also you have judged, and so judge.
